Job description
Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has a vacancy for a Administrator (0.5 time – 2.5 days/week) to join the CALM project team.

This role is required to provide high-level administrative support, requiring a thorough understanding of the overall workings and policies of IFI and to support the Peace Plus CALM project. IFI is a partner in the Peace Plus CALM project led by the East Border Region. The project is a cross-border one seeking to improve ecological quality of water focusing on a number of catchments. The appointee will support the catchment officer operating in the Glyde catchment to advance all of the project aims.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data management & Reporting Responsibilities
Prepare and collate monthly and any other required reports for Lead Partner
Provide support to project staff in managing PEACE PLUS/SEUPB funded research projects and programmes.
Assisting of the Preparation and collation of all documentation for quarterly financial reporting
Provide support to project staff in managing PEACE PLUS/SEUPB funded research projects and programmes
Ensure SEUPB funded project management complies with all administrative and financial reporting requirements through full project lifecycle.
Support procurement of, including necessary capital equipment, and works and services to meet project deliverables.
Liaise with First Level Control verification bodies as required
Maintaining records of necessary documentation and authorisations from public authorities to undertake specific actions (in NI and RoI)
Support with any other aspects of project management, including tracking of progress of project activities against goals and deliverables
Job requirements
KEY KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have the following;
Essential
A recognised third-level qualification at a minimum level of NFQ Level 7, or equivalent
A full Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland
A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in an administrator administrative role
Desirable
Business administration qualification
Previous experience working in a large / complex or public sector organisation
Previous experience in project or programme support
Demonstrable experience of facilitating in-person and online engagement/training
LOCATION
The role will be based at IFI HQ at Citywest, Dublin. IFI offer a hybrid working policy, more details of which will be shared with prospective candidates at the interview.
REMUNERATION
The salary scale for the position is at the level of Executive Officer as applies in Inland Fisheries Ireland. This is a 14-point scale including 2 long service increments (LSI’s):Point 1 €38,444.69; Point 2 €39,249.04Point 3 €41,477.49; Point 4 €43,613.20; Point 5 €45,528.78; Point 6 €47,421.20; Point 7 €49,267.32; Point 8 €51,075.95; Point 9 €52,928.17; Point 10 €54,776.59; Point 11 €56,740.41; Point 12 €58,056.44; Point 13 (LSI 1) €59,938.67; Point 14 (LSI 2) €62,604.74

Candidates should note that new appointments will be at the minimum of the scale and the rate of remuneration will not be subject to negotiation and may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Candidates should note that different salary terms and conditions may apply if, immediately prior to appointment, the appointee is/was a serving civil or public servant.
TENURE
This role is being offered a part time post 2.5 days week, the duration of this contract will be till 26th of February 2027
